Best AI Personal Assistants 2026: 8 Ranked on Inbox, Not Chat
Disclosure: Runable, Jace, Viktor, Littlebird, Zernio, Typa, Intellijend, and Magica sit on our Dub partner shortlist. Until those programs approve, every product link is the official vendor URL. If a partner link replaces one later, we will mark it.
Jace Plus is $25 a month, or $20 if you pay yearly. That SKU, pulled from jace.ai/pricing on 17 August 2026, buys 10,000 credits and two inboxes.
ChatGPT Plus is still $20.
It will not sit on Gmail overnight.
Score best AI personal assistants on overnight drafts, moved events, and caught tasks, not on how pretty the chat window looks after you paste the thread yourself.
This is not a ranking of AI coding agents or agent frameworks. Those posts own the repo and the graph. Meeting notes belong on AI meeting assistants. Public booking links belong on AI scheduling tools. This ranking owns the inbox.
Which AI personal assistant should you buy in 2026?
Buy Jace if Gmail is the job; skip ChatGPT Plus if you wanted overnight drafts.
We opened eight official pages on 17 August 2026 and scored three columns only: inbox, calendar, tasks. The wider AI agents for business map is a different buy.
| Rank | Tool | Inbox | Calendar | Tasks | Public entry (17 Aug 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Jace | Pass | Pass | Partial | $25 mo / $20 yearly |
| 2 | Littlebird | Partial | Pass | Partial | $17 yearly / $20 mo |
| 3 | Runable | Fail | Fail | Partial | $20 mo / $15 yearly |
| 4 | Viktor | Fail (Slack) | Partial | Pass | $50 workspace / 20k credits |
| 5 | Typa | Fail | Fail (content) | Partial | $17 + $10/account |
| 6 | Magica | Partial (claimed) | Fail | Partial | $14.99 App Store |
| 7 | Zernio | Fail | Fail (social) | Fail | 2 accounts free |
| 8 | Intellijend | Fail | Fail | Fail | No inbox SKU |
Pass means the product sits on that surface without you building a workflow graph.
Partial is a connector, a routine, or a side door.
Fail means the marketing borrowed the word "assistant" and hoped you would not open Gmail the next morning.
What does a Tuesday look like when the assistant actually runs?
Three beats decide it: 08:10 drafts, 12:40 reschedule, 16:05 task dump.
That is the useful half of "can an AI personal assistant manage my email." A chat window that waits for a paste is idle at all three marks.
Walk a founder Tuesday with two Gmail inboxes (the Jace Plus cap), one Google Calendar, and one Slack workspace that already has too many channels.
- 08:10. Jace has labels and drafts waiting. Littlebird can fire a routine brief if Calendar is connected. ChatGPT Plus at $20 is a blank prompt. Runable is quiet unless you ping iMessage. Viktor waits for an @mention.
- 12:40. A vendor moves lunch. Jace can create the event from the thread (unlimited calendars on Plus, per the pricing page). Littlebird can act if Google Calendar is linked. Typa's "calendar" is a content queue. Zernio's calendar is a post schedule.
- 16:05. Someone writes "can you send the deck Friday." Jace rules plus chat can turn that into a follow-up. Viktor can cron it in Slack for 100 to 300 credits. Runable will build the deck if you ask. Magica will generate a slide if you spend App Store credits. Nobody except Jace already had the email open.
I have sat through enough "just paste it into ChatGPT" mornings to know the cost is not the $20. The cost is the 40 unread threads you re-read because the model never saw them until you decided they were worth a prompt. A best ai assistant for email that is missing at 08:10 is a chatbot with a new landing page.
Which tools actually sit on the inbox?
Jace drafts inside Gmail; Littlebird watches the screen and can connect mail.
The 17 August 2026 ledger is the first-hand block: Plus is still $25 monthly or $20 yearly for 10,000 credits and two inboxes. Pro is $50 or $40 yearly for 20,000 credits and eight inboxes. Seven-day trial. Homepage copy is Connect, onboard, Review and send.

Littlebird Plus is $17 a month on the annual toggle ($204 up front) or $20 billed monthly, with a 14-day trial. Basic is $0 with limited meeting notes. Power is $42 yearly / $50 monthly and unlocks Littlebird MCP. Pro starts at $100.
Jace is the AI executive assistant on this list. It will not publish a site. That is why it failed best AI website builders and wins here.
Littlebird is a memory product that happens to plug into Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, and Apple Reminders. The meeting-notes surface is a side door. If notes are the job, use AI meeting assistants, not this ranking.
Can Slack or iMessage replace a calendar assistant?
Slack or iMessage can run chores; they do not replace a calendar-connected inbox.
Runable Pro is $20 a month, or $15 billed yearly on the homepage savings widget. That SKU lists "Personal Assistant across every channel" (Slack, Teams, Telegram, iMessage, Discord) next to websites, slides, and video. Free is 1,500 daily credits. Max is $100 a month for 150,000 credits.
Viktor is a Slack and Teams employee, not a Gmail seat. Team starts at $50 per workspace for 20,000 credits. The free hop is $100 in credits and no card. Official FAQ: 20,000 credits is roughly 40 to 200 tasks. Quick tasks land at 100 to 300 credits. Do not confuse viktor.com with viktor.ai, the AEC platform.
| Tool | Channel it lives in | Inbox | Calendar | Entry (17 Aug 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Runable Pro | iMessage / Slack / Teams / Discord | No Gmail draft engine | Not the product | $20 mo / $15 yearly |
| Viktor Team | Slack + Teams @mention | Slack thread, not Gmail | Only if you wire it | $50 / 20k credits |
| Jace Plus | Gmail / Outlook | Native drafts | Unlimited calendars | $25 mo / $20 yearly |
The homepage for Runable still sells websites and slides first.
$50 on Viktor is a workspace, not a personal inbox seat.
If you already live in Slack and want an @employee that writes the follow-up in-thread, Viktor's $100 free credits are a cheap test. If you wanted Tuesday's calendar to move when the vendor email landed, you are still on Jace.
Which of these eight fail the personal-assistant job?
Typa, Magica, Zernio, and Intellijend fail inbox, calendar, and personal tasks.
They stay on the table so the miss is visible. Buyers keep dumping every Dub "AI" program into this query.
- Typa. Pro is $17 a month plus $10 per extra social account (one included). Free gives $3 of usage credits. YC content engine: iMessage in, draft out, nothing posts without a tap. The calendar on that page is a content queue. Fine for LinkedIn. Useless at 08:10 in Gmail.
- Magica (GalaxyAI Inc, App Store id 6742551956). The marketing site loaded as a workspace spinner on 17 August 2026. The only public dollars we could pin are IAP: Access Premium $14.99 monthly, $150 yearly, Lifetime $499. App copy claims Gmail and Slack connectors. The rest of the store page is image, video, and model routing. If you wanted video models, that is AI video voice tools, not an executive inbox.
- Zernio. First two social accounts free, then $6 each for accounts 3 to 10, $3 for 11 to 100, $1 after that. Ten accounts bill $48. The FAQ says it is built for developers. Social DMs are not Gmail.
- Intellijend. Music ads. The homepage crawl listed extra artist accounts at $12.50 a month. We did not extract a stable inbox SKU from the JS marketing site. Rank 8 because it is not in the category.
Four fails is not a rounding error.
It is the honest read of this Dub cluster: eight partner programs, four products that do not open Gmail, and a search page that will still try to sell you all of them as "assistants."
Is this a ranking of coding agents or agent frameworks?
No. This page buys an end-user inbox assistant, not a repo or a graph.
Claude Pro is $20 a month, or $17 yearly ($200 up front) on claude.com/pricing, and that SKU includes Claude Code. ChatGPT Plus at $20 includes scheduled tasks and connectors. Both are chat products you invoke. Neither drafts the 08:10 inbox unless you paste it.

If the search was "build me an agent," those URLs are the buy. If the search was "clear Tuesday's mail," pay Jace $20 yearly and keep ChatGPT Plus for the work that starts with a blank prompt, a pasted spec, or a question that never lived in Gmail in the first place.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best AI personal assistant in 2026?
Jace, if the job is Gmail drafts plus calendar. Plus is $25 a month or $20 yearly for 10,000 credits and two inboxes (jace.ai/pricing, 17 August 2026). Littlebird is the fallback when screen memory matters more than native drafts. ChatGPT Plus at $20 is a chat box.
Is ChatGPT a personal assistant for email?
Not overnight. ChatGPT Plus at $20 (chatgpt.com/pricing, 17 August 2026) can run scheduled tasks and connectors, but it does not sit on Gmail and leave labeled drafts at 08:10. Claude Pro at $20 is the same shape. Use either next to Jace, not instead of it.
How much does Jace cost in 2026?
Plus is $25 monthly or $20 billed yearly. Pro is $50 monthly or $40 yearly. Plus includes 10,000 credits, two inboxes, unlimited calendars, and one year of email search. Pro raises credits to 20,000, inboxes to eight, and history to three years. Seven-day trial, 30-day money-back.
Does Jace send emails without you?
No. The official homepage flow ends at Review and send. Drafts, labels, and rules run in the background; the send click stays yours. That is the correct default for an inbox with client mail in it.
Are Runable and Viktor personal assistants?
Only if "assistant" means a chat channel that executes work. Runable Pro at $20 (or $15 yearly) lives in iMessage and Slack and still sells websites and slides. Viktor from $50 a workspace lives in Slack and Teams and bills credits per task. Neither replaces Jace on Gmail.
